“There is no more productive investment we can make in our shared future than to advance the quality of education we provide our sons and daughters. And that goes beyond the grounding in academic fundamentals. It involves lessons and mentoring on character, empathy, personal responsibility, and, with that, accountability. What Brunswick has always done best in preparing boys and young men for the future is to stress character over other attributes and to instill in our students the reality that character is only truly manifested when it has been tested.

“I am proud to be a Brunswick alumnus, but I am prouder to be a Brunswick parent, as it has afforded me the opportunity to see and appreciate the impact of everything this school does so well — and has done across 12 decades — to instill the values of Courage, Honor, Truth in our sons. That is why I now appeal to other alumni and parents in building an Ever Stronger, Ever Brunswick educational citadel and model for others as an expression of our shared gratitude. It is as gratifying an investment as we will ever make.”

“Our Ever Stronger, Ever Brunswick campaign builds on the many investments made over the past quarter-century in enhancing our educational programs and facilities. Those investments made possible an appreciable rise in the breadth and quality of the educational experience we offered our students. Amid those changes, we faced numerous challenges, perhaps none so daunting as the COVID-19 pandemic, which led us to institute sweeping changes in every aspect of school life to make certain that our students, faculty, and staff were supported, cared for, and provided with the resources they needed to pursue their best work.

“Such challenges inevitably draw us closer as a community and, in meeting them, make us stronger, as our campaign title underscores. As we move forward, our over-arching goal — to provide our students with the very best possible educational experience — remains unchanged. Meeting that goal and preparing for a stronger future calls for renewed investment in our people, our programs, and the facilities that underscore and support our mission.

“Brunswick has changed a great deal since my own student days, but seeing the school anew through my sons’ eyes, I know those essential qualities of a Brunswick education — captured so well in our guiding principles, ‘Courage, Honor, Truth’ — are at the core of everything we do. As so many alumni would also attest, I know Brunswick is the foundation for whatever success I have enjoyed in life. I consider it a privilege and a way of giving back to now help our school in becoming a stronger and even better version of its own best self.”

“Brunswick is so much a part of my family that I was honored when asked to join the Board of Trustees, following in my father’s footsteps. As a sister of three Brunswick brothers and mother of two Brunswick boys, I have witnessed first-hand Brunswick’s imprint on its students. That impact extends beyond the quality of the educational experience. It is equally evident in the life and character lessons learned inside and outside the classroom, and in the pervasive sense of community and service it fosters in students. Through the Ever Stronger, Ever Brunswick campaign, we can strengthen financial aid and faculty support, while enhancing educational offerings and moving forward with new program initiatives. In so doing, we will ensure Brunswick continues on an ascending trajectory well into the future.”

As different as our two sons are, Brunswick brings out the best in each of them, encouraging each to pursue and develop his individual interests, just as it has done for generations of Brunswick boys.
